About me

My name is Bernadette Szilvasy Bödecs, and I am based in San Rafael, California. I work primarily with oil on panel and porcelain. My artistic journey began with my studies at the Porcelain Manufacture in Herend, Hungary, where I developed a deep appreciation for the craft.

I draw inspiration from the natural world, including seascapes, sailboats, plants, and animals. Painting these subjects brings me joy and allows me to capture the beauty I see around me. Additionally, I enjoy painting human portraits, striving to portray the unique expressions and personalities of my subjects.

Working with porcelain has allowed me to explore another dimension of art, and I am grateful for the opportunity to create pieces that people find elegant and timeless. Each piece is a result of careful attention to detail and a genuine love for the medium.

Living in the beautiful town of San Rafael, I continue to explore new artistic horizons. Through my work, I aim to share the harmony and splendor of nature. I am humbled by the support and interest in my art and look forward to continuing this journey.
